Look into using a little bit of tea tree oil occasionally (maybe an empty HOT load). Live in the southwest (low humidity) - yukk - I live in New England.

We now have parking brakes that hold the loader back with ease.

I'd take a little bit of fluid out of the rear wheels and if you have any doubt as to what it is, stick it in the freezer and see what happens. You don't want it to freeze.

True enough but the valve spool is made to fit the valve body with too small a clearance for oil to leak past. When those parts wear and the spool is spilling oil out the end there are no replaceable parts to fix it.
